Today I decided to get more audience feedback on my logo designs in order to get an accurate review. Therefore, I decided to ask for more opinions:
- 17 years old
- Female
Logo 1 - Signature Design
- Classy but too sketchy
- Would not stand out as it is similar to others.
- However, it does relate to the indie genre well.
- The logo is loose and free-looking - not attractive to the eye.
- 1-10 = 4
- Relates well to the genre of Indie and possibly Rap.
- Creative individual feel
- The circle outlining the name of the artist makes it look like a company, as the logo itself is too enclosed and I would prefer it to be more open.
- However, it would look good on merchandise, but not on an album.
- 1-10 = 5
- Simple, but has an impact because of the contrast of the moon.
- I would add colour in order to give it more individuality.
- It's bold which makes it stand out.
- Easy to read and recognisable - which includes the moon/crest if it was standing on it's own as a logo design.
- 1-10 = 8
Logo 4 - Mountain Design
- The logo is not simplistic enough.
- Looks more like it is a logo for physical performers, and not for an artist.
- It would look better if the name of the artist was straight.
- It is easy to read.
- 1-10 = 3
Overall thoughts:
- The Crest Design is the most appealing, and is the most individual as it can stand as a name or on it own as a logo - by the crest becoming separate - it is simple but effective.
I will be taking this audience feedback on board when choosing my logo design for my artist. However, I think from my own personal perspective and from the audience feedback that I have received I am going to use the Crest Design as it is the most versatile, which will also come in handy when designing my merchandise - as then my designs on my products can vary - giving the consumers more of a choice.
